Damage Categorisation — Red, Amber, Green Explained
Every fault a SARI inspector finds is rated Green, Amber or Red. The colour drives the timescale and the legal consequence of doing nothing.
GREEN — Safe
Damage within EN 15635 tolerance. Logged for future reference, no immediate action.
AMBER — Hazardous
Damage exceeds tolerance. Component must be unloaded and replaced or repaired within 4 weeks. If untouched at 4 weeks the rating automatically escalates to RED.
RED — Very Serious Risk
Bay must be offloaded immediately, isolated and not re-loaded until the damaged component is replaced. Continuing to use a RED-rated bay is a direct breach of PUWER and HSWA.
