Pallet Racking Inspection East Kilbride
East Kilbride houses electronics food production and national logistics operators requiring annual safety checks. In East Kilbride we work to the same SEMA-aligned standard used on every site we visit, so your records stay consistent from one year to the next.
East Kilbride's Storage and Distribution Network
Industrial and storage activity in East Kilbride includes Kelvin Industrial Estate, Peel Park and College Milton Industrial Estate. We inspect racking on these sites and at any other business premises in the area. We aim to send the East Kilbride inspection report within 48 hours, covering every bay inspected and any repairs needed.
Racking Risks Typical of East Kilbride's Industries
Every East Kilbride inspection covers the whole installation, with particular attention to the following.
- In high-volume operations the lower levels and aisle-end frames take most of the knocks, so we check frame protectors, column guards and beam connectors at every run end.
- Sensitive and high-value products make any racking failure costly, so our report gives a prioritised repair list the site can act on straight away.
- Bracing members are inspected for bends and loose bolts, which weaken a frame long before damage looks serious.

Your Legal Duty in East Kilbride
Racking counts as work equipment under PUWER 1998. HSE guidance HSG76 and BS EN 15635 expect weekly in-house checks by a Person Responsible for Racking Safety plus at least an annual expert inspection — the part our SARI accredited inspectors deliver in East Kilbride. Any red-risk findings at a East Kilbride site are flagged before we leave, so the affected bays can be offloaded straight away.
See our SEMA racking inspection checklist for the measured tolerances, or read what the HSE expects.
